Taxonomy
Araucarioxylon kumarpurensis was named by Bajpai and Singh (1986). It is not extant. Its type locality is Nonia Nala (River) at Kumarpur, which is in a Lopingian/Triassic fluvial horizon in the Raniganj Formation of India.
