Taxonomy
Araucarioxylon meyenii was named by Agashe and Gowda (1983). It is not extant. Its type locality is Lathi, which is in a Permian fluvial horizon in India.

It was synonymized subjectively with Araucarioxylon loharense by Chandra and Tewari (1991).
