Taxonomy
Winterbergia (Eowinterbergia) rugosa nana was named by Yuan (1988). Its type specimen is GPII\J 96689, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Winterbergia (Eowinterbergia) nana by Wagner (2020).
