Taxonomy
Basidechenella sverdrupi was named by Tolmachoff (1926). Its type specimen is PMO A28846 and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Proetus (Longiproetus) sverdrupi by Ormiston (1967); it was recombined as Prodrevermannia sverdrupi by Ormiston (1975).
