Taxonomy
Chlupacula (Chlupacula) xesta was named by Hahn et al. (1994). Its type specimen is B 1994/1/23, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kronhof Graben, Carnic Alpes, 9 km east of the Plöcken pass, which is in a Hastarian carbonate limestone in the Kronhof Limestone Formation of Austria.
