Taxonomy
Dechenella iserlohnensis was named by Basse (1997). Its type specimen is 967-111-8, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Iserlohn I. Profil an der Boschung unmittelbar am E. Ufer des GrĂ¼ner Bach, which is in an Eifelian/Givetian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Ihmert Formation of Germany.
