Taxonomy
Indocarpus elongatus was named by Surange and Chandra (1974). It is not extant. Its type locality is Handapa, which is in a Wordian/Lopingian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Hinjir Formation of India. It is the type species of Indocarpus.
