Taxonomy
Mourlonia demissus was named by Swart (1998). Its type specimen is SAM P2194A and is a mold. Its type locality is Fossil Head, Port Keats Mission, Bonaparte Gulf, which is in a Roadian marine siliciclastic in the Lower Marine Beds Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Bradyospira demissa by Wagner (2023).
