D. K. Elliott and M. A. Petriello 2011As for the type, and only known species. [Large poraspid with wide dorsal shield, length 55.0 mm, width ratio 0.76, orbital ratio 0.15. Ridges flat-topped, 5 per mm at midline and 7 per mm at lateral margin; longitudinal on the dorsal shield, fanning over rostrum. Pineal macula distinct, large, and consists of a radiating arrangement of short broad ridges. No epitega indicated. Median longitudinal sensory canals are not continuous and posteriorly sections of the longitudinal canals between the commissures are offset and en echelon, with a posterolateral trend.]
