Phyllonaspis taphensis
Taxonomy
Phyllonaspis taphensis was named by Elliott (2016). Its type specimen is FMNH-PF14540, a partial skeleton (An incomplete dorsal shield), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Trail Canyon, Panamint Mountains (Loc. 2 of Elliott and Ilyes 1996), which is in an Emsian estuary/bay sandstone/siltstone in the Lost Burro Formation of California.
