Taxonomy
Euomphalus mongolicus was named by Grabau (1931). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jisu Honguer 1192, Marginifera typica Bed, which is in a Wordian carbonate limestone in the Zhesi Formation of China.
It was recombined as Amphiscapha mongolicus by Wagner (2023).
