Wellnhopterus brevirostris
Taxonomy
Wellnhopterus brevirostris was named by Andres and Langston (2021). Its type specimen is TMM 42489-2, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TMM 42489, Pterodactyl Ridge (lower section), which is in a Maastrichtian fluvial siltstone/claystone in the Javelina Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Wellnhopterus.
