Protochactas furreri
Taxonomy
Protochactas furreri was named by Lourenço et al. (2022). Its type specimen is MCSN 8613, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Acqua del Ghiffo, level 350, which is in a Fassanian carbonate lime mudstone in the Meride Formation of Switzerland. It is the type species of Protochactas.
