---|---|---|
J. W. Bonde et al. 2022 | Nevadadromeus schmitti exhibits the following combination of traits, which in combination, are unique to this taxon: femoral head projecting from plane of shaft at angle slightly more obtuse than 100° and siting slightly above level of greater trochanter; femoral neck with little constriction nor tuberosities; greater trochanter anteroposteriorly expanded, robust, and slightly concave on lateral surface; and lesser trochanter separated from the greater trochanter by prominent and deep intertrochanteric notch and coming to triangular apex at roughly same level as top of greater trochanter. At base, the lesser trochanter projects anteriorly away from the greater trochanter. Along the length of the lesser trochanter it gradually sweeps posteriorly toward the greater trochanter. |
