Taxonomy
Ambolostoma baileyi was named by Peck (1930). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 6 miles east of Mendon, which is in an Osagean carbonate limestone in the Brazer Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Ambolostoma.
