Taxonomy
Leroyi aegyptiaca was named by Anan (2020). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Farafra Oasis, Maqfi section, which is in a Thanetian reef, buildup or bioherm claystone in Egypt. It is the type species of Leroyi.
