Taxonomy
Litoyoderimys grossus was named by Korth et al. (2022). It is not extant. Its type specimen is SDSM 154969, 154970, a tooth. Its type locality is Arner Ranch ant mounds, which is in a Chadronian/Orellan terrestrial horizon in the Chadron Formation of Nebraska.
