Mambachiton fiandohana
Taxonomy
Mambachiton fiandohana was named by Nesbitt et al. (2023) [Holotype— UA 8-25-97-132, an articulated series of anterior to
posterior cervical vertebrae and osteoderms, anterior cervical
vertebra neural arch fragment, cervical rib, and disarticulated
osteoderms. A right partial postfrontal was directly as-
sociated with the holotype.]. Its type specimen is UA 8-25-97-132, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East of Sakaraha, which is in a Ladinian/Carnian terrestrial horizon in the Isalo II Formation of Madagascar. It is the type species of Mambachiton.
