Taxonomy
Caolodelphis milleri was named by Godfrey and Lambert (2023). Its type specimen is CMM-V-8949, a partial skull (par- tial skull preserving most of the neurocranium from the supraor- bital region to the occipital condyles. The rostrum, periotics, and tympanic bullae were n), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Popes Creek south, Zone 2-3b, which is in a Burdigalian estuary/bay sandstone in the Calvert Formation of Maryland. It is the type species of Caolodelphis.
