Taxonomy
Nyssapollenites scabratus was named by De Benedetti et al. (2023). Its type specimen is MPEF-PA 470, a microspore, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cañadón del Irupé, which is in a Cretaceous/Paleocene marginal marine siliciclastic/siliciclastic in Argentina.
