Clymenoptilon novaezealandicum
Taxonomy
Clymenoptilon novaezealandicum was named by Mayr et al. (2023). Its type specimen is UC 22048, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Site 2, Waipara River, which is in a Selandian/Thanetian marine sandstone in the Waipara Greensand Formation of New Zealand. It is the type species of Clymenoptilon.
