Petrodactyle wellnhoferi
Taxonomy
Petrodactyle wellnhoferi was named by Hone et al. (2023) [zoobank.org/56C6CC35-859E-4D19-B61C-E8892F96AFC9]. Its type specimen is LF 2809, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is "Schaudiberg Quarry" Petrodactyle holotype locality, which is in a Tithonian marine limestone in the Mörnsheim Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Petrodactyle.
