Venkatasuchus armatum
Taxonomy
Venkatasuchus armatum was named by Haldar et al. (2023). Its type specimen is ISIR267, an osteoderm (paramedian osteoderms), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1 km northeast of Rampur (ISIR 279/280), which is in a Norian/Rhaetian terrestrial horizon in the Dharmaram Formation of India. It is the type species of Venkatasuchus.
