Derivation of name. Gr. peq beyond, above; plus kjsm net. With reference to the very great strength and intensity of the reticulation of this species.
Taxonomy
Cytheropteron hyperdictyon was named by Ceolin et al. (2015). Its type specimen is LM-FCEN 3282, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro Azul CA 29, which is in a Danian marine siltstone in the Jagüel Formation of Argentina.
