Derivation of name. Gr. pqrsas, prostratos, to be laid flat; plus pkeqj, pleurikos, of the rib. With reference to the fact that the ribs of this species resemble a recumbent U.
Taxonomy
Heinia prostratopleuricos was named by Ceolin et al. (2015). Its type specimen is LM-FCEN 3400, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil.
