Derivation of name. L. decores, ornamented, elegant, beautiful. With reference to the elegance of the ornament of this attractive species.
Taxonomy
Orthrocosta decores was named by Ceolin et al. (2015). Its type specimen is LM-FCEN 3505, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cerro Azul CA 16, which is in a Danian marine siltstone in the Jagüel Formation of Argentina.
