Taxonomy
Hughmilleria lata was named by Størmer (1934) [given as Hughmilleria (?) lata]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Dolichopterus latus by Kjellesvig-Waering (1961); it was recombined as Stoermeropterus latus by Lamsdell (2011).
