Wilburemys yakimensis
Taxonomy
Wilburemys yakimensis was named by Martin and Mallory (2011). Its type specimen is UWBM 58775, a partial skeleton (plastron and carapace), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wilbur Locality, SDSM V8910, which is in a Hemphillian lacustrine diatomite/volcaniclastic in the Ellensburg Formation of Washington. It is the type species of Wilburemys.
