Machaeroides simpsoni
Taxonomy
Machaeroides simpsoni was named by Dawson et al. (1986). Its type specimen is CM 45115, a partial skull (fragments of a skull includin4 parts of the palate, with incisors, canines, right P1-M2 and left P4-M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is K-7W, which is in a Lostcabinian terrestrial horizon in the Wind River Formation of Wyoming.
