Taxonomy
Notonucula cuspidis was named by Bradshaw and McCartan (1991). Its type specimen is USNM 398411 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Horlick Formation lithofacies 7, which is in a Devonian marine sandstone/mudstone in the Horlick Formation of Antarctica. It is the type species of Notonucula.
