Taxonomy
Primoscens carolinae was named by Mayr and Kitchener (2022). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NMS.2021.40.54, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Walton-on-the-Naze, Ypresian, which is in a Ypresian marginal marine claystone in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
