Meizonyx salvadorensis
Taxonomy
Meizonyx salvadorensis was named by Webb and Perrigo (1985). Its type specimen is UF 27513, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barranca del Sisimico, which is in a Pleistocene/Pleistocene terrestrial sandstone in the Cuscatlán Formation of El Salvador. It is the type species of Meizonyx.
