Mecochirus cenomanicus
Taxonomy
Mecochirus cenomanicus was named by Charbonnier et al. (2023). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.B16583, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Butte quarry, Le Mans (Sables et Grès du Mans), which is in a Cenomanian coastal claystone in the Le Mans Formation of France.
