Taxonomy
Perrector pocteyi was named by Hupé (1953). Its type specimen is G. 342., a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Issafen Syncline, which is in an Atdabanian marine horizon in the Issafen Formation of Morocco.
It was corrected as Perrector pocteyae by Geyer and Landing (2006).
