Anthracomedusa turnbulli
Taxonomy
Anthracomedusa turnbulli was named by Johnson and Richardson (1968). Its type specimen is FMNH PE 10500 and is an impression. Its type locality is original description of Essex fauna, Pit 11, which is in a Desmoinesian delta plain shale in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois. It is the type species of Anthracomedusa.
