Nipponithyris tayaensis

Taxonomy
Nipponithyris tayaensis was named by Hatai (1948). Its type specimen is IGPS 72534, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cliff north of Taya, Iwami-Sannai-mura, which is in a Calabrian marine siliciclastic in the Taya Formation of Japan.
