Taxonomy
Foveacorpus cretaceus was named by Bartel et al. (2023). Its type specimen is GPIH 5129, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (GPIH coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Foveacorpus.
