Pirabacarcinus iara
Taxonomy
Pirabacarcinus iara was named by Lima et al. (2024). Its type specimen is MCT.I.7247 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Colonia Pedro Teixeira, which is in a Miocene coastal horizon in the Pirabas Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Pirabacarcinus.
