Holkopollenites irregularis
Taxonomy
Holkopollenites irregularis was named by Christopher and Prowell (2002). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Slide LEE-75@180.5'(1); coordinates 13.5 x 137.0; Figure 9a–d., a microspore, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS-Lee State Park core, 180.5 ft, which is in a Campanian marine horizon in the Bladen Formation of South Carolina.
