Cosoryx (Paracosoryx) sabulonis
Taxonomy
Merycodus necatus sabulonis was named by Matthew and Cook (1909) [named as a subspecies of Merycodus necatus by Matthew and Cook 1909; raised to species level]. Its type specimen is AMNH 14102, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Cosoryx (Paracosoryx) sabulonis by Frick (1937); it was recombined as Merycodus sabulonis by Skinner and Taylor (1967), Janis and Manning (1998).
