Briscoia coloradoensis
Taxonomy
Saukia coloradoensis was named by Walcott (1914). Its type specimen is USNM 60673, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 20b. 1.6 km. above Monte Cristo Mine, Quandary Peak, which is in a Trempealeauan marine horizon in the Peerless Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Briscoia coloradoensis by Srivastava and Hughes (2023).
