Microeutypomys karenae

Taxonomy
Microeutypomys karenae was named by Walton (1993). Its type specimen is TMM 42486-451, a tooth (isolated left upper first molar), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Casa Blanca, which is in an Uintan estuary/bay sandstone in the Laredo Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Microeutypomys.

A. H. Walton 1993Smaller species ofMicroeutypomys. Mesoloph directed anterolabially; valley between mesoloph and pro- toloph deep and oblique, terminates at protoloph. Central valley variably crenulated, may be blocked lingually by protocone-hypocone connection. Upper molars slightly wider than long, but not to same degree as Microeutypomys tilliei. Mesolophid in m3 does not contact entoconid.
