Cretacoranina syriacus

Taxonomy
Notopocorystes syriacus was named by Withers (1928). Its type specimen is BMNH I.8407, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hakel (BMNH collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.

It was recombined as Cretacoranina syriacus by Schweitzer et al. (2010); it was misspelled as Joeranina syriacus by van Bakel et al. (2012).
