Taxonomy
Duncania jamaicensis was named by Portell and Collins (2004). It is extant. It is the type species of Duncanitrix, Duncania.

It was recombined as Duncanitrix jamaicensis by Schweitzer et al. (2011), Luque et al. (2017) and Karasawa et al. (2019).
