Micropternodus strophensis
Taxonomy
Kentrogomphios strophensis was named by White (1954) [genotype]. Its type locality is Canyon Ferry Reservoir 24LC16, which is in a Chadronian terrestrial horizon in Montana. It is the type species of Kentrogomphios.
It was synonymized subjectively with Micropternodus borealis by Russell (1960); it was recombined as Micropternodus strophensis by Stirton and Rensberger (1964), Ostrander (1987) and Asher et al. (2002).
