Taxonomy

Bathrodon annectens was named by Marsh (1872). Its type specimen is YPM 11791, a mandible (mandibular fragment with M3), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Microsyops annectens by Osborn (1902), Wortman (1903), Hay (1930), Szalay (1969), Gazin (1976), Gunnell (1989).

Synonyms

Microsyops schlosseri was named by Wortman (1903).

It was synonymized subjectively with Microsyops annectens by Szalay (1969), Gunnell (1989).
