Taxonomy
Orphnea ornata was named by Quenstedt (1858). It is not extant. It is the type species of Glypheopsis.

It was recombined as Trachysoma ornata by Schweitzer et al. (2010); it was recombined as Glypheopsis ornata by Feldmann et al. (2015).
