Miocyon major

Osteichthyes - Miacidae

Taxonomy
Uintacyon major was named by Matthew (1909). Its type specimen is AMNH 12159, a mandible (m2), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Uintacyon bathygnathus by Gustafson (1986); it was recombined as Miocyon major by Bryant (1992), Friscia and Rasmussen (2010).
