Miotylopus leonardi

Taxonomy
Protomeryx leonardi was named by Loomis (1911). Its type specimen is ACM 2004, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Big Muddy Creek, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.

It was recombined as Gentilicamelus leonardi by Loomis (1936); it was synonymized subjectively with Miotylopus gibbi by McKenna and Love (1972); it was recombined as Miotylopus leonardi by Prothero (1996), Honey et al. (1998), Prothero and Lubar (2016).
