Montanatylopus matthewi
Taxonomy
Montanatylopus matthewi was named by Prothero (1986). Its type specimen is CM 9918, a skeleton (nearly complete skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is McCarty's Mountain, which is in a Chadronian wet floodplain tuff in the Chadron Formation of Montana. It is the type species of Montanatylopus.
